The Commitments of ITPO are enumerated below:
  1. To promote, organise and participate in industrial trade and other fairs and exhibitions in India and abroad and to take all measures incidental thereto for boosting up country’s trade.
  2. To publicise in India and abroad International Trade Fairs and Exhibitions to be held in India and invite the foreign participants to participate in them
  3. To undertake promotion of trade in goods and services connected with or relating to fairs, exhibitions, convention in India and abroad
  4. To undertake promotion of exports and to explore new markets for traditional items of export and develop exports of new items with a view to maintaining, diversifying and expanding the export trade.
Public Grievances Redressal System

A senior officer will be nominated as Public Grievance Officer, who will be available on a fixed day in a week, to personally hear any grievance related matter.

Appellate Authority - in case the Redressal of the grievance is completed in stipulated time or not to the satisfaction of the person, he/she may be approach the appellate authority as notified by ITPO.

Right to Information

The Organisation has implemented the Right to Information Act, 2005 and has put in place all necessary systems and procedures on the website of the Organisation. The Organisation has also appointed Public Information Officer and set up a mechanism of appeal as has been provided in the Act. Any Citizen of India can seek information under the Act.

Independent Audit of Effectiveness of Citizen Charter and Public Grievances Mechanism

On formulation of the above framework, an independent audit of Effectiveness of Citizen Charter and Public Grievances Mechanism is being undertaken and reports sent to the Department of Commerce on a quarterly basis by Vigilance Department
